Today is Marathon Monday! It’s one of my favorite things about living in Boston. Not because I don’t have school, everyone’s parading around on the street, or because I can drink all day to my heart’s desire. But because the Boston Marathon is INSPIRING! It’s moving. It is unbelievably emotional, especially towards the tail end (usually the point at which I watch). I have to work today BUT the race goes right by the front door so I will certainly be watching.

20 year old girl in the midst of training to run a half marathon. Quite the hiatus with my summer job and a semester abroad but I am back in action.

Good morning and happy daylight savings!! It’s a glorious Sunday! The birds are chirping! It’s fifty-two degrees and time for me to conquer this 5k with my brother! WoooHOOOOOOO!!!!
So it has been almost a year since my last race. Isn’t that terrible?!! It’s okay, though. This one is going to be great. It’s a 5k and I am dragging my brother along. I picked up our bibs and t-shirts today…they might win the ugliest race shirts ever award but I’m thinking I can make it work. I have given up dairy and alcohol “for lent.” I don’t consider myself a particularly religious person but I think the 40 days leading up to Easter is as good a time as any to challenge myself.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
It is unbelievably lovely outside. I just did a nice 5 mile loop around the river. I saw green grass for the first time since November. What can I say, I LOVE SPRING.
Do any of you have experience with Ultimate Bootcamp (and others such programs)? What did you like? Hate?

I feel SO G0000D!
It took me a whole week to go on my first run of the year. I’ve been such a bum! But it’s okay because it’s a new year, I have a new apartment, and some new goals set for myself.
I did a quick two miles this morning. I felt good for having not run in quite some time. My ears were freezing though. I’m going to find a good running beanie today or tomorrow.
By the way, HELLO! I haven’t been here in some time. I want to update my blog as frequently as I used to but this time I won’t be tracking me weight. Instead I’ll be running and eating as per usual and letting you all know when I see the changes I want to see.
Now for some post-run cherry pickers and then grocery shopping!
